Welcome to Shipp’s Creek: a one-of-a-kind modern retreat crafted from shipping containers and built right into the wooded banks of the scenic Laurel Hill Creek. This remote escape was designed with intention: to offer a truly unique experience where architecture, nature, and comfort meet.

Shipp’s Creek is made up of four custom shipping containers - two 40-ft units and four 20-ft units - all sourced locally and designed to reflect the raw beauty of the landscape around it. The project was a labor of love: after purchasing the property in April 2023, we removed an old cabin and began new construction in Summer 2024. The result? A 4-bedroom, 2-bath home that sleeps 10 in beds (up to 12 total guests), with sleek design, modern amenities, and a direct connection to nature.

Whether you’re relaxing by one of our three fireplaces (including one wood-burning), fishing in the creek just steps from the back door, or adventuring through nearby state parks, Shipp’s Creek invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect.

Shipp’s Creek is within 30 minutes of Fallingwater, Ohiopyle State Park, Seven Springs, and Hidden Valley Ski Resort, and just 25 minutes from Somerset, PA where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and anything you may need.
