Our Story
At Shipp’s Creek, we believe where you stay should feel just as inspiring as where you travel. That’s why we created a one-of-a-kind modern retreat, built from locally sourced shipping containers and nestled into the wooded banks of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Hill Creek.
The project was a labor of love: after purchasing the property in April 2023, we removed an old cabin and began new construction in Summer 2024.
The result, a remote escape that includes:
– 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
– Sleeps 10 in beds (up to 12 guests total)
– Two fireplaces + a wood-burning fire pit
– An open-concept kitchen + modern finishes
– Direct creek access and multiple outdoor seating areas and decks
– Hot tub coming this Fall
Whether you’re fishing in the creek just steps out the back door, getting cozy around the fire pit, or exploring nearby state parks, Shipp’s Creek invites you to unplug, breathe deeply, and reconnect—with nature, your people, and yourself.
