Our Story
At Shipp’s Creek, we believe where you stay should feel just as inspiring as where you travel. That’s why we created a one-of-a-kind modern retreat, built from locally sourced shipping containers and nestled into the wooded banks of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Hill Creek.
The project was a labor of love: after purchasing the property in April 2023, we removed an old cabin and began new construction in Summer 2024. After 2+ years of hard work, we’re finally ready to share how special this place is.
As a result, we now have a remote escape that includes:
– 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms
– Sleeps 9 across 5 beds
– Two fireplaces (one wood burning, one gas)
– An open-concept kitchen with modern finishes
– Direct creek access and multiple outdoor entertaining areas
– Hot tub coming late 2025.
Whether you’re fishing in the creek just steps out the back door, getting cozy around the fire pit, or exploring nearby state parks, Shipp’s Creek invites you to unplug, breathe deeply, and reconnect—with nature, your people, and yourself.
